Ship2Shore.TV Contest Winner Architecture Photo Essay: Top 3 Buildings in Hong Kong

The winner of Ship2Shore.TV’s ‘Win a Trip to Hong Kong’ contest is back from a luxury visit to one of the world’s most exciting cities! R.M. from Ottawa says the trip was a blast, and luckily, we get to share some impressions from a first trip to Hong Kong.

The first thing everyone notices about Hong Kong is that unforgettable skyline above Victoria Harbour, one of the world’s most identifiable skylines. Look closer, and you’ll see some of the most dynamic and imaginative architecture. Even if you visit Hong Kong often, you’ll see something new every time!

“The International Commerce Centre (ICC) is home to the Ritz-Carlton and more importantly, the OZONE Bar, a great spot to enjoy the best view in Asia across the harbour to Hong Kong island from 118 floors up! The highest bar in the world with an open air balcony.”

“This building really stood out with its impressive architecture. The buildings ( there are two towers) were dubbed “The Koala Tree” because they resemble koalas clutching a tree.”

“I was never able to find out the name of this building but it really stood out among all the slick, all business, skyscrapers. A fun take on a flatiron building!”
