S.S. Maria Theresa joins S.S. Antoinette and S.S. Catherine in ‘triple crown’ homage to history’s great European royal ladies

Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection proudly unveils their newest Super Ship, S.S. Maria Theresa this month.

Representing Uniworld’s most ambitious ship to date, the Maria Theresa truly evokes an elegant period palace on water. Fashioned in the spirit of her great namesake, Empress Maria Theresa, the ship breaks defies often-seen river cruise design with classical Baroque interiors, royal crown detailing, and a 10-foot high oil on canvas of Maria Theresa herself as the focal point of the ship’s grand lobby.

Sister ship to the beautiful S.S. Antoinette and S.S. Catherine, two of the most luxurious vessels on Europe’s waterways, the S.S. Maria Theresa will take guests to some of Europe’s most remarkable destinations in impeccable style. Lavishly appointed riverview staterooms and suites feature open-air and French balconies on the Main and Upper Decks, uniquely-decorated rooms boast custom made-to-order English Savoir beds and marble bathrooms.

Uniworld’s new majestic masterpiece, the S.S. Maria Theresa, will be christened in Amsterdam on March 26, 2015 by its godmother, Princess Anita von Hohenberg, a direct descendent of Maria Theresa and great-granddaughter of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and Duchess Sophie von Hohenberg. Uniworld’s S.S. Maria Theresa will set sail on her inaugural voyage on March 28 on “Tulips & Windmills.” She will also serve the line’s popular “European Jewels,” “Danube Holiday Markets,” and ” Enchanting Christmas & New Year’s Cruise” itineraries.
